Machine Workshop

The Machine Shop is well equipped to handle a wide range of jobbing work for the maintenance of transport, heavy construction plant and production machinery. It has a 5 tonne overhead crane and a comprehensive range of Lathes, Mills, Drills, grinding and lapping machines, Horizontal Borers etc. Just about any repair, refurbishment or reclamation job can be undertaken and we can manufacture components as required. We have fast access to specialists in heat treatment, forging, casting, hard chroming and metallurgy for a complete and cost effective machining service.

Features include:
• Jobbing lathe work to 1200 mm dia x 4.5 meters long
• Milling and boring 2 x 1.8 meters
• Line boring, facing, drilling and tapping
• Internal and external grinding
• Lapping to 500 mm dia flat surfaces e.g. Duocone seals
• C.N.C machining
