George is a workshop supervisor in our East Tamaki workshop.

When George first started out in the trade, in the islands he was given the opportunity to work alongside former Stevenson-trained tradesmen and it became clear to him the best tradesmen on the island had trained overseas.

George joined Stevenson Engineering 8 years ago as an adult apprentice, after completing his apprenticeship he then moved to
Field Service where he worked on everything from small auxilery engines to 180 tonne excavators. His understanding of system operations aided him in diagnosing a vast variety of equipment faults.

Through the years George has worked for Stevenson Engineering he has witnessed it evolve from a workshop primarily maintaining
their own fleet to a workshop with an impressive outside customer base.

“I believe that we retain that customer base for the simple fact that we stand by our work and response time and our workmanship is second to none”

“The everyday challenges as well as the variety of work has kept me motivated. I also enjoy dealing with
customers face to face and over the phone. No day at Stevenson’s is the same. Being part of the team at Stevenson’s we
communicate well, and as a team have the ability to focus on goals and stay on track.”
